Charter in the Bahamas this Winter
The Bahamas is one of the world’s most popular destinations for charter. With a range of sublime beaches and crystal waters, it’s not hard to understand why.
Stroll along the pink sands of Harbour Island, explore Pablo Escobar’s sunken plane wreck, and swim with the famous pigs of the Exumas – these are just some of the Islands’ most exciting attractions.
We’ve pulled together some of our favourite destinations and activities in our sample itinerary, so that you can get a taste of your charter in Bahamas.

DAY 1: NASSAU – HORSESHOE BAY
Relax as your yacht embarks on a picturesque cruise toward the Exuma island chain.
Enjoy lunch, al fresco, on the aft deck at the secluded Allen’s Cay and then head to Horseshoe Bay, which features a beautiful deserted beach and fabulous reef. You can also explore the nearby Exuma Sound, which offers amazing dive sites and fishing.
DAY 2: HAMMERHEAD GULCH – NORMAN’S CAY
Depart early this morning for the highly-rated Hammerhead Gulch where you can drift dive or enjoy a bit of snorkelling. After lunch, your yacht will set off for a world of adventure and intrigue with a visit to Norman’s Cay
Fishing enthusiasts can take to the water today, while beach lovers tender to Twinkie Beach. This charming stretch of beach is littered with sea shells, highlighted by a lone palm tree.
DAY 2: HAMMERHEAD GULCH – NORMAN’S CAY
Depart early this morning for the highly-rated Hammerhead Gulch where you can drift dive or enjoy a bit of snorkelling. After lunch, your yacht will set off for a world of adventure and intrigue with a visit to Norman’s Cay
Fishing enthusiasts can take to the water today, while beach lovers tender to Twinkie Beach. This charming stretch of beach is littered with sea shells, highlighted by a lone palm tree.
DAY 3: WARDERICK WELLS – COMPASS CAY
The old pirate’s hideaway of Warderick Wells is home to the skeleton of a 53-foot sperm whale and over 7 miles of hiking trails. Cruise south to snorkel in the Rocky Dundas, and, at the north end of Compass Cay, visit the famous natural whirlpool known as Rachel’s Bubble Bath.
Continue on through the inviting shallow waters of Pipe Creek to Big Major’s Spot, where you may be treated to a welcome by the famous swimming pigs.
DAY 4: STANIEL CAY
Enjoy breakfast while underway to Staniel Cay and the Thunderball Grotto this morning. Featured in the James Bond films, Thunderball and Never Say Never Again, the cave can be accessed via snorkel and, once inside, features breathtakingly colourful corals that glitter in the light. Fishing enthusiasts can get in one final morning on the water, whether bone, reef or deep-sea fishing.
DAY 4: STANIEL CAY
Enjoy breakfast while underway to Staniel Cay and the Thunderball Grotto this morning. DAY 5: STANIEL CAY – ROCK SOUND
After a leisurely breakfast, cruise to the beautiful island of Eleuthera, which boasts long stretches of pink sandy beaches and outcrops of coral reef inviting plenty of undersea exploration.
After navigating the Devil’s backbone, anchor in Rock Sound and try the local bakery’s key lime tarts – ideal for a tasty dessert or breakfast treat.
DAY 6: HARBOUR ISLAND & DUNMORE TOWN
Explore Harbour Island and the charming Dunmore Town today, with its quaint shops, old churches, art galleries and beautiful gardens. Beach lovers must spend some time on the magnificent pink sand beaches. Golf cart rental is recommended for the day, in order to take in all of the sights of this popular island.
DAY 6: HARBOUR ISLAND & DUNMORE TOWN
Explore Harbour Island and the charming Dunmore Town today, with its quaint shops, old churches, art galleries and beautiful gardens. Beach lovers must spend some time on the magnificent pink sand beaches. Golf cart rental is recommended for the day, in order to take in all of the sights of this popular island.
DAY 7: HARBOUR ISLAND – NASSAU
Homemade Bahamian Bread is a must for breakfast today, along with a final stroll through the town for pictures and a bit of shopping. Then it’s back aboard for the return cruise to Nassau.
